Terry and Bridal & Formal For the record, I had previously classified wedding dress shopping as one of my least favorite parts of the wedding planning, and the wonderful people in your store last night completely changed my mind about the entire process. The dress is gorgeous, and your sales people were amazingly helpful and friendly. For the first time, I really did feel like I was shopping for "my" day, and the salesperson (Terry, in this case) was really listening to what I said when I explained my likes and dislikes. She was able to pull a number of gowns in my exact style, though I went with the one I had emailed about earlier in the day. The sales manager, as well, was just as helpful in guiding me to purchase the correct size and color. I will eagerly recommend your store to my friends who are also getting married soon (and there are quite a few)! Thank you again for such a positive experience. I just wanted to write and let you know how great my experience was at your store. My sales consultant was Sally and she was great at finding dresses that fit my style and was very efficient when it came to changing the dresses. She seemed to be in touch with what I wanted and was more concerned with my wishes than anything else. I found the most beautiful dress that fits me perfectly and to top it all off it was off the 199$ rack. It had everything I wanted in a dress including style, color, and pink beads. Dear manager I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks for the expert attention and quality of services afforded by your entire store and, most especially from Sally C. our bridal consultant. Sally was the perfect consultant for my daughter: young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about style, designer, body style and the creation of the perfect match between bride and dress. This is such and important day in the life of a young woman and Sally contributed to making it one of the most special days of our lives. We presented pictures and style numbers and Sally led us into the room of every woman's dreams; rows of designer gowns, each more beautiful than the next. The only difficult part was choosing the perfect dress from every other perfect dress! Sally was infinitely patient- complimentary without influencing, tactful and professional. To enhance the experience Sally created my daughter's wedding hairstyle in 5 minutes and matched jewelry perfectly to the dress. In the end Sally gleaned the style that matched my daughter’s dreams and figure and present a choice that won her heart! A beautiful Vera Wang went home with us and she made one young woman very happy. Your prices were remarkable, your service outstanding. I cannot thank you enough for the experience and its gorgeous result. I would recommend your establishment highly to anyone. Mama and I fought through slippery sleet and dingy black snow and found our way to Bridal and Formal in Cincinnati. I was looking forward to getting the “trying-dress-after-dress-after-dress” thing over with so we could have lunch and visit the art museum… In Mama-like fashion, we were way too early… we sat in the car for a little while, but then went to stand outside for a few minutes to wait until they opened. Instead of letting us freeze into slush, a girl who works there opened a side door and sneaked us in. Whew. We thawed for a bit… But then, Shelly, the manager, who was supposed to help us, was late due to weather… so another woman became my consultant. Her name is Cynthia and she was the most fabulous saleslady I’ve ever met. I don’t know if she was sincere or just good at her job (although i think she must have been), she made me feel like a princess the whole time we were there. First she found out what I like (texture) and what I don’t like (sparkles) and pulled some beautiful dresses from the racks. Surprisingly, she picked out 7 or 8 dresses I would have picked for myself… which was nice because i didn’t want to dig through 4000 dresses to find the few i wanted to try on! After we found 10 (mama picked a few i loved, too), Cynthia (all 5 feet of her) grabbed all the dresses up in her arms and staggered into the back where there was gigantic fitting room waiting for me. I was excited until i counted all the mirrors… the room was a ‘community’ fitting room with enough space for 8-soon-to-be-mrs.’s… i do not like changing in front of strangers and she immediately saw that on my face and took me to a little room to change into the special things you have to wear when you’re trying on wedding gowns. When I cam back, there were 4 other brides in there, all open and free and stripped down to their skivvies. I was glad I changed in private. It was nuts. Too many butt cheeks for one day. Seriously… I got to the mirror it was time for dress number one… dress one was very… then dress two… then dress three… then… i wanted to hug her but i couldn’t get over to her before all the women who worked there. first a blonde lady gave her a hug and then Cynthia, and then someone else brought her tissues… it was so sweet to see them taking care of my mama for me… I looked in the mirror for the first time AFTER i saw mama’s reaction and i’ll be honest, i thought… “ooh… J-Lo…” i loved the shape of the dress and how it wraps and feels and moves… Cynthia came over and whispered in my ear exactly what i was thinking, “Girl, it gives you some J-Lo booty.” It was actually at this silly moment that I knew it was the one. And then when I didn’t want to take it off… and then when I realized I didn’t have to try anything else on… haha. So we bought it… a beautiful ivory dress from Barcelona… it will be here in 6 months… and i’m stoked. here’s to hating dresses but loving my bridal gown. whoo hoo! ~Pam B. |
My name is Monika L and I am a first time bride. I went into your store on Febuary 9,2008 with the same nerves as most brides have and Tracie P was assigned to me too help with the process of choosing a dress. All I can say is thank God for her. She was awesome, fun and so helpful. I ended up with a Vera Wang 2008 couture, needless to say I am more then pleased with every moment I was there. My daughter, her maid of honor and I visited this store today. What a pleasant experience!! I will say that I had spent some time at your site looking at the designers' collections and had encouraged my daughter to do the same. (She lives in Lexington, KY; I live in Dayton.) My daughter did have some printouts of a few dresses she liked. At first, we were kind of lost in the maze (or just perhaps overwhelmed by the selection.) But, when our saleslady arrived, she took the printouts and went to work. The next thing I knew the saleslady had expanded the selection to maybe ten or so breath taking gowns. She really knew the merchandise quite well and was very skilled at finding gowns matching my daughter's taste and at helping my daughter to narrow the choices down...(If I had had to play that role, we would still be there because at least half of those were so stunning I would not have been much help.) I would have never thought that from start to finish this big decision would be made, nor the size be determined, nor the gown ordered and paid for in a mere 2 and a half hours! If you had a blog at this site, your customers could post strategies and praises! (I realize there's a risk that you may get less than constructive comments from the general public on a blog...) Will you please, please pass my praise and admiration for the saleslady (I believe her name was Sally) to this enterprise?? She was knowledgeable, energetic and conducted herself with a great deal of professionalism!! |
About a month before my September 23, 2006 wedding, I received a phone call from the dress shop that was making my wedding gown. They informed me that they had forgotten to make my dress, and that they were ‘really sorry,’ but there was nothing they could do since my wedding day was less than a month away. Panicked and in tears, I called my mother who suggested we go to Bridal and Formal in Cincinnati, Ohio. Two days later, we hopped in a car and drove down to Bridal and Formal. The store was about to close, but they knew we were on our way and the details of the aforementioned catastrophe. Upon arrival they treated me with respect and compassion, and they took charge of a situation that until then had seemed to have spiraled out of control.
The bridal coordinators showed me many beautiful dresses. As a rack of new dresses was about to be placed on the floor, I saw one and instantly felt something tell me: “There is the dress you will be become a bride in.” Seconds later, after donning the gown, I finally felt that feeling that brides before had told me about: the feeling of never wanting to take the dress off; of twirling, of laughter, and a sense of peace and beauty.”
Within forty-five minuets of my arrival at Bridal and Formal, a dismal situation was turned into one of elation and joy. This couldn’t have been done without the amazing staff and dresses of Bridal and Formal.
I took another vow that day – one to never let a friend of mine get married without going to Bridal and Formal. In fact, just last week, this vow was tested. Now - one of my dearest friends will also be a beautiful bride in a Bridal and Formal gown. This is truly a magical place where wedding dreams come alive. |
To Whom it may concern,
I experienced such a lovely shopping memory at Bridal and Formal Today! My mom & I came in a bit discouraged with our search for "the" dress. My Fiancé & I will be married in April on a small island on the beach in the Bahamas with only our immediate families attending. Because of this unusual wedding plan, what I pictured for my dress is not a traditional princess gown.
Yesterday, my mom & I started our quest for this unique dress. After several stops yesterday, we decided to make the trip to Cincinnati to check out the well-renowned Bridal and Formal. Upon entering, I felt overwhelmed with the sheer volume of dresses in this store!
Tracie led us on our journey through wedding dress wonderland; my mom & I both simply adored her! She listened to what we hoped for, catered to our needs, and made me feel both beautiful and special. Tracie was personable, fun and full of energy. Her approach helped me to see myself wearing the dress we chose on the beach; however, she never seemed pushy to me. What a wonderful experience to have shopping for the happiest day of my life! What left the deepest impression on me was that it appeared just as important to Tracie that I find the perfect dress as it was to both my mom and myself.

I already had an idea of what I was looking for and described this to Lacrecia. She was the best sales associate I have ever encountered. I had been to two other stores looking at dresses and didn’t have a very positive experience. Lacrecia was AWESOME.
