FROM CINCINNATI MAGAZINE WEDDING – ONLINE EDITION
Melissa and Eugene met while attending an MBA admissions event at Duke University. They married August 7, 2010, at the Cincinnati Club. The reception that followed was also held there. It was important to the couple to embrace both of their cultures in the wedding details. All invitations and favors were in Korean and English to symbolize their cultures merging. In another Korean wedding tradition, the groom and mother of the bride exchanged wooden geese, symbolizing everlasting love, as geese keep the same mate for life.
