The Wedding of Julia & Kellen

My mother and I traveled from Indianapolis to find “the dress.” We hadn’t made any appointments and we weren’t sure what to expect while exploring in the bridal district. When we walked into Bridal and Formal, I was welcomed with open arms. I instantly felt comfortable, everyone was very nice and made my whole experience a one-of-a-kind dream come true. Bobbi is amazing – plain and simple. Going into Bridal and Formal, I had an idea of what I thought I wanted but was open to ideas. I explained to her that I wanted a “princess” dress – that was the only thing I was positive on. I picked out a few. She helped me try them on – making me feel absolutely beautiful in every single one (even if it wasn’t my style). Let my just  say – I had horrible anxiety about going dress shoppuing before this and she made the whole experience so fun and thought I’d like, definitely wasn’t what I had pictured. I tried on her first pick (it was never a dress I would’ve picked for myself. I don’t think I wanted strapless.) and that was it! I WAS INSTANTLY IN LOVE! I went ahead and tried on a few other dresses but nothing compared to that one she picked. We didn’t even go look anywhere else. I ordered it that night! I really couldn’t have found my dream dress with Bobbi. I like to think that she was my fairy Godmother. I would highly recommend making an appointment with her to anyone. Everyone that I encountered while in Bridal and Formal was so very sweet and helpful. They all make it such a fun and relaxed environment.

It’s hard to name just a few of my favorite memories. I loved every moment and detail of our day. It rained all day but stopped from an hour before our ceremony until we sat down for dinner at our reception. We were married in the church that my parents were married in over 30 years ago. It is such an elegant church with beautiful stained glass and a 100 foot aisle. Our reception dinner was amazing, our DJ was o fire and everyone had a great time. My husband and my mother-in-law surprised me (and our guests) with a fun mother/son dance that involved a mash-up of songs. I married the man of my dreams in the most beautiful dress. I really couldn’t have dreamed for more.
