It Truly Was The Best Day of Our Lives!

My wedding was on May 27, 2017 in Birmingham, Alabama. My girls and I began getting ready at one of my bridesmaid’s houses. It was so much fun having the morning with my girls to get pampered and have our hair and makeup done. The boys got ready at my husband’s house. They grilled out hamburgers, watched sports, and got all cleaned up in their handsome suits for the big event. My photographer, Todd
Helzer, brought me to meet my husband in front of The Florentine building, which is where our reception would be later that night. JT was turned around so he couldn’t see me, and I walked up to him and said, “Hey cutie!” We hugged and kissed, and he read the sweetest letter that he wrote to me for our wedding day. Then we met up with the rest of our bridal party and family on a shuttle bus to take us to Samford University where we would take pictures. We had all of our pictures taken around Samford’s
gorgeous campus, then hopped back on the bus to go to the chapel! We took a few more pictures there before the ceremony with our extended family then went to be tucked away before our ceremony. My girls, mom, and dad were so encouraging and loving as I had so many butterflies as I was about to walk down the aisle to become husband and wife. Our ceremony was everything I’ve ever prayed for. It was filled with the love of God for us, and the love from our families, and the love we have for each other. We decided that the first thing we wanted to do as husband and wife was wash each other’s feet to show the other that we wanted to serve each other all the days of our life. As we kissed each other for the first time as husband and wife, it felt like the best feeling in the world! I highly recommend marrying your best friend, it truly is the best thing ever. We walked out and hopped into our limo and felt like we were on top of the world. We were so excited and couldn’t wait to see everyone to celebrate! We ate, drank, and danced the night away at The Florentine for our reception. We felt so loved by everyone that surrounded us that day and were so thankful for everyone that came and showed their love and support. It truly was the best day of our lives.
Courtney was so much fun to work with. She helped me narrow down all of my ideas of what I wanted my dream dress to look like until we finally found THE ONE! She let me try on as many dresses as I wanted, never rushed me, and talked me through all of the things that I loved and didn’t like about each dress. She made my experience so much fun for my mom and I together as I found the dress of my dreams on the first day that I went to look for dresses! Molly helped me find my bridesmaids dresses, and she was wonderful. I wanted to do the dresses all in the same color, but wanted different bodices for each girl. She led me towards the section of the store that was perfect for mixing and matching. She was
very organized in helping me narrow down my choices and made something that was very overwhelming for me seem effortless! Thanks Molly! My mom also worked with Brooke to find the Mother of the Bride dress, and she helped my mom narrow down all of her choices as well. She said she was very fun and easy to work with! Thanks Brooke!
I came to Bridal and Formal the weekend after I got engaged, and thought that my mom and I would look around and have fun trying on dresses. I had no idea that because of the large selection of dresses, that I would find my dress that day! I had so much fun picking out dresses, and then getting to try them on. Courtney was so great and helped me pick out my dream dress! She made it easy and effortless, and it was one less thing I had to worry about on my check list! I would highly recommend all new brides to check out Bridal and Formal to find the dress of their dreams.
