A Perfect Winter Wedding!

We had a perfect day! There was enough snow on the ground to be pretty in pictures, but it wasn’t in the way. It was so cold that day (only a high of 16 degrees), but we made it through outdoor pictures together! I had so much fun getting ready with my bridal party. I had the most helpful bridesmaids and family members! They made the day run so smoothly. I did a first look with dad before seeing my fiancé, and it was so sweet. I will never forget my husband’s reaction during our first look and when I walked toward him down the aisle. We had so much fun celebrating with family and friends! We were fortunate to have three of my paternal Swedish relatives come over for our wedding and even had a surprise toast. Even though we had just lost my maternal grandmother, it was so nice to have a happy event to bring everyone together. We felt her presence there with us.
I went to Bridal and Formal on a Sunday with my mom and future mother-in-law. Lacrecia was so helpful! I gave her a print out of inspiration and we started pulling stuff right away, including the dress in the window that I hadn’t seen.  I tried on three dresses. The first one was the one from the window. After trying on the two dresses, I got back into the first one and Lacrecia took me away from the moms to put on a veil and headpiece. I stood in front of the mirrors and they brought the moms out. There were lots of tears as I said “YES” to the dress! The veil and headpiece were perfect with the dress. Afterwards, we took the dress over to the bridesmaid’s dresses, junior bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dresses. My bridesmaids and I went another day to try on dresses and found the perfect one to flatter everyone! On another day, my mom and grandmother and I brought in my junior bridesmaid and flower girl and we had a lot fun! My grandmother passed before the wedding, and I am so thankful she was there with us and in several pictures I took with the girls. Everyone was so helpful and patient with me!
Thank you!
