The Wedding of Heather & Joe

Some of my favorite memories from my wedding day include the morning of the wedding and getting ready without seeing Joe. We prayed together with Fr. Meyer before the ceremony between a sliding door in the parish rectory. I could not see him but could only touch his hand. I can not remember the exact prayer Fr. Meyer said but I remember how powerful it felt. My Papaw is 86 and was not able to walk me down the aisle so my son did. We had 287 people RSVP for our wedding, however, as I walked down the aisle it felt as if it was just him and I. After our Catholic ceremony we left for two different locations that was off the beaten path for photos unlike your traditional wedding photos. Our first stop was at his friends property and the second was under a railroad trestle nestled beside a creek bed and graffiti wall. The pictures from our photographer are some of the most amazing pictures I have ever seen. Not because it was my wedding, but because my mother was a professional photographer. She had passed away when I was 15 and choosing a photographer for the wedding was the toughest (as you could imagine.)
My experience with Bridal and Formal was amazing. I initially went with my not mother-in-law however I felt a little rushed with the first lady I was working with. I had shopped around but kept  remembering “that” dress I first tried on. I called Bridal and Formal a second time and explained what had happened and they made me a second appointment with Iris. When I first met Iris, she was this beautiful woman who took the time to listen to me and let me try on as many dresses as I needed (regardless that I knew which one I wanted). I had brought my girlfriend and her daughter, my daughter and my soon to be stepdaughter. They too wanted me to try on dresses. Iris was so amazing that I have sent other soon-to-be brides her way. Even most recently my soon-to-be daughter in law who said “YES” to her dress because of Iris.
Thank you!

Heather E.
