The Wedding of Allison & Eric
My visit was fantastic! I could not have imagined it going any better. Lacrecia was my bridal consultant, and she made the whole experience a dream. I thought I knew the type of dress I wanted for the big day. My party and I picked out a few dresses, but they were not working. Lacrecia suggested a different style, and we pulled a few more. I had it down to two beautiful dresses, but still not the one. Lacrecia said, wait just a minute. I have one more that just came in, and I think it may be a contender. I put it on and instantly loved it! It became my wedding dress, and I’m so in love with it still that I want to wear it every day. When I came out with it on, the rest of my party felt the
same way. Lacrecia has an exceptional eye and knows how to help find the dress of your dreams. She was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. I not only recommend Bridal and Formal but request Lacrecia as your consultant, you won’t regret it.
It was raining the day before and the day of the wedding. Of course, I was a nervous wreck about the rain. But we kept praying it would stop in time. We had a plan B, but the spot for the ceremony was just too perfect not to be able to use it. We did the finishing touches in the morning, in the rain. The flowers arrived, the tables and chairs got set up, and soon the Amelia Gray ladies arrived for makeup and hair. The ladies were sipping mimosas and listening to a playlist by the Matron of Honor to get ready. It was perfect, and exactly how I imagined spending time with my girls and mom before the wedding. But it was still raining. Then an hour and a half before guests were to arrive, it stopped. The sun was shining, and it seemed as if the rain never even came. Prayers were answered! I can remember the ceremony well. My dad was walking me down the aisle to Marry Me by Train, cracking jokes to make me laugh so I wouldn’t be nervous. Seeing Eric at the other end, smiling with happy tears ( I was hoping for those). Looking at friends and family that came to celebrate our day. I remember saying our vows, my knees were shaking, and I couldn’t get his ring on the way, but at least I did mess up the words as I did during the rehearsal. There was a gentle breeze, and the sun was still shining. The river could be heard and seen beside us. The flowers looked beautiful against all the green of the ceremony area. I can remember the kiss and Pastor Pete saying it must have been Love at Hurst Sight; I give you Mr. and Mrs. Hurst! Then there was the receiving line with laughter, happy tears, hugs, and love from everyone. We had our group photos and headed to the reception. The food was terrific, and DJ Franky Frank was getting the guests ready to dance. I can remember our first dance, Yours by Russel Dickerson. It was like it was just the two of us for a moment. The father/daughter dance was perfect with my dad. We made our special dance moves, and it was just fun. I do remember cutting the cake, and then it was smashed in my face, but don’t worry, he got some on his face too. Right before the sunset, there was a rainbow! It was magical and went across the river over the venue. Couldn’t have planned than any better. We had a sparkler send off and danced the night away. I remember my dress sparkling in the sun that I didn’t think we would see that day. But I remember seeing my husband’s smile and his face most of all, and at the end of the day, it didn’t matter if it did rain, I became his wife, and that’s the most beautiful part of the whole day.
