It Was Our Dream Wedding
My mother and I made the trip to Cincinnati in May of 2017. After visiting only one other bridal store, we made our way to Bridal and Formal for a scheduled appointment. Going in, I had an idea of the dress I wanted and Lacrecia found the exact gown. I still tried on many other gowns just to be sure but when you know, you know. Lacrecia made it all come together when she added the updo, jewelry, veil, and flowers to complete the wedding day look. This really helped me envision what the whole package would look like! Even though the first bridal store had this dress, I bought it from Bridal and Formal as not only did they beat the price of the other store, but this added touch made it so much more personal.
Lacrecia was so personal and patient with us through the whole process. She gave us her undivided attention throughout the entire time we were there and as mentioned before, she sealed the deal when she added the bridal accessories to complete the wedding day look for me.
After almost 8 years of dating, I married my high school sweetheart for a dream wedding. The bridesmaids and I stayed at the Hilton in downtown Lexington the night of the rehearsal so that we could get up early and start our day. My mom joined us the next morning as well as the hair stylist and makeup artist. Over breakfast, with mimosas and laughter, memories being made our photographer and videographer arrived to capture the details of the preparation. The guys also were getting ready at the Hilton and our photographer and videographer worked so well together to go between the groups and capture every highlight. My fiancé and I decided we did not want to do a first look so after each group was ready, we went separately to off-site locations for pictures. The wedding was at 4:00 pm and the weather was perfect. After exchanging our vows, we had written for each other, the meaningful ceremony was done by our family friend and pastor, a unique sand ceremony and first kiss we were pronounced husband and wife. After a few family photos (and changing into sequined tennis shoes for me and pink Nike’s for the groom) the bridal party headed to the reception venue to capture a few more photos at that location before being announced at the reception. This was such an amazing celebration. We had secretly choreographed a mash-up for our first day and it was a tremendous hit. The night was full of dancing, mingling, great food and drinks, and even us sneaking away to have some rooftop sunset pictures taken. The night ended with a sparkler exit to an awaiting horse-drawn carriage. It was more than I could ever have imagined it to be!!
