We took the romantic hues of the King Protea flower and incorporated them into our vision
I found my dream gown, Myra, during an Enzoani trunk show in January 2018. My sister-in-law Tina, and my niece, Madison, both work at Bridal and Formal and assisted me in finding the perfect dress. We started with bold styles and after seven or eight dresses, we had narrowed the silhouette to a mermaid and the dresses to two. Both had the sophistication I sought for an elegant farm wedding. I have a tendency to be indecisive, but Tina’s insightfulness and guidance allowed me to make the right decision that day. It was such an easy, enjoyable process through and through, especially with the Champagne toast upon making the final choice!
My husband and I had gotten engaged in South Africa, so the inspiration for our day started there. We took the romantic hues of the King Protea flower and incorporated them into our vision: menus, floral arrangements, seating assignments, and fabrics. The blush pink, ivory, gold, and sage green colors provided a delicate backdrop for our wildly entertaining night. We had live music from a favorite local band, Cherry on Top; gelato from Dojo Gelato; a cigar bar; roaring campfires; lawn games; a photo booth and a sparkler sendoff to “I’ve Had the Time of My Life.” The entire celebration took place on a third-generation family farm, Fritz Farm, located in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Guests were able to mingle in the apple orchard during cocktail hour and the entire day was complete perfection!
