A Beautiful Country Chic Wedding
The staff was wonderful and able to point my bridesmaids and myself the direction we were looking based on color scheme, dress length, wedding style, and budget. We were able to quickly find a dress that looked amazing with everyone’s physique.
During our bridesmaids’ visit, we had enough time and the bridal staff was able to accommodate me to browse and try on gowns. The first dress I put on was the dress I chose. However, I still tried on many styles. I was able to come back the following weekend with the help of my attendant, bringing my mother and grandmothers along to let them pick a few gowns (but sneak my chosen dress into the mix), so they were able to experience the dress selection with me. And to no surprise, they all chose the dress my bridesmaids and I had chosen the week before.
At the time it was an emotional moment. My only remaining grandpa was in the hospital facing kidney failure, congestive heart failure complications resulting from his 4th bout of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. We were told it was terminal. The wedding date was set for 7 months from our engagement, in hopes he’d still be here. When I had the chosen gown on, we face timed my grandpa to get his input and to let him see me in the gown. Of course, he said he loved it and I looked beautiful, and we were ALL crying! Lol
I said “yes” to my dress at bridal and formal that day!
Our style was country chic. We had a church ceremony, followed by our reception at an enclosed barn. Long story short, my bridesmaids looked beautiful, I got the dress (I felt beautiful!), I got the man, and my grandfather and the rest of our family and friends were able to witness and celebrate our special day with us.
