A Simplistic Wedding
My mom and I had already been to another bridal shop in Cincinnati that morning and found a few dresses I really liked, but nothing I couldn’t live without. We went to lunch and then headed back to the bridal district where we went in Bridal and Formal. We were told Iris would be helping us. My mom and I pulled some dresses, but before we went back to the fitting room, Iris asked me some questions to get an idea of what I liked, then pulled another dress from the Maggie Sottero trunk show. It was the first dress I tried on. When we got into the room with the mirrors and I stepped up on the platform, I knew it was the one. Iris helped pick out the perfect veil and the completed look actually brought me to tears. She seemed so genuine and had the whole room applauding because the dress was so beautiful and fit so well. I can’t say enough great things about her. She made my experience so easy and so special.
Ryan and I chose a venue in our hometown of Milton, West Virginia, which is where we live. The weather could not have been better for our ceremony, which was held in a beautiful garden area. We went with a simple, classic theme – lots of greenery, ivory, pastel colors and gold. My florist took that vision and made it into something more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. Everything went off perfectly. The reception was a blast – filled with dancing, singing and celebrating with each other, our kids, families, and friends.
