A Perfect Day for Our Wedding!

As perfect as a day you could imagine, that was Jonah and me’s wedding day. We were surrounded by friends and family that we loved, some who traveled vast distances for our day. Our desire for our wedding was that the LORD would be honored and that people would leave having had a wonderful time – and that’s the response that we keep hearing! Our signature color was a deep wine read, and our bouquets were overflowing with white roses and eucalyptus. My bouquet featured large, burgundy peonies and a protea (the national flower of South Africa, the country where I was born). The ceremony was simple, but stunning with personal vows to each other and a surprise video tribute of thanks to our parents. Our reception was on the grounds of a beautiful estate in a large white tent, and the dessert was cheesecakes catered by a family friend. As we drove away, our hearts were full of memories and gratitude for our perfect day of celebrating our marriage.
I had already tried on the wedding dress that I wanted at a previous store, but it was more than we could pay. My mom, best friends and I walked into Bridal and Formal without an appointment. I showed our consultant, Karen, a picture of a similar dress, shared our price range and she started looking. She pulled my dress off the rack, and I said, “YES! I want to try that on!” As I was slipping it on, I realized that it was the same dress from the previous store. When I came out, one of my friends was almost screaming, and my mom was crying because we all knew it was my dress.
I am still obsessed with my dress and wish I could wear it for more than one day, but we had a fabulous experience with Bridal and Formal.
